Tottenham Hotspur 1-1 Fulham

It’s fair to say that Tottenham Hotspur weren’t at their worst against Fulham on Wednesday evening, however they were poor in the second half and as such had to content themselves with a share of the spoils. Some players performed admirably, others seemed to be there just for the ride while some should really be forced to repay their wages back to the club.

If pushed to pick the best of the bad bunch, our choice would be Sergio Reguilon, the leftback putting in one of his best performances of the season so far and somewhat unlucky not to have found his name on the scoresheet. Reguilon came close to scoring early in the match but his right foot let him down in the box on two occasions. Indeed Sergio scored what many thought would be the match-winning goal, only for him to have it flagged for offside. This was to be a disappointing result for Tottenham Hotspur, however it certainly wasn’t a disappointing performance from Reguilon.

As far as Fulham were concerned, this match extended their unbeaten run across competitions to six and while Scott Parker’s men remain in the bottom three in the Premier League table, they are within spitting distance of the safety zone. For Tottenham, it was yet another slip-up as they witness their faint hopes of a league title disappear ever further into the distance.
