Manchester United 2/1 favourites to sign Jadon Sancho this summer

The coronavirus pandemic may be foremost in most peoples’ minds right now, however footy fans are still eager to find out what the summer has in store for their clubs and Man United are certainly no exception with rumours of Borussia Dortmund youngster Jadon Sancho moving to Old Trafford as pertinent as ever.

The Red Devils are firm favourites to secure the signature of the London-born player with BetVictor Bookmakers going 2/1 that he moves to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window, thus implying a 33% probability that such a transfer actually takes place. In this regard, United are well ahead of Chelsea in the betting market with Jose Mourinho’s side a 4/1 shot to get their hands on the Dortmund starlet.

Sancho has been enjoying some excellent form for the Bundesliga side this season with a total of 17 goals coming alongside 19 assists in his 35 appearances in all competitions. The youngster moved to Borussia Dortmund in 2017 aged just seventeen and thus far he has enjoyed a great start to his career, something which hasn’t gone unnoticed by other large European clubs.

As things stand, it appears to be a two-horse race between Manchester United and Chelsea for the signature of Sancho although Liverpool are still being seen as a possible destination for the youngster with BetVictor going 6/1 that he ends up at Anfield this summer, some bookies going as low as 4/1 that this proves to be the case.

Barcelona are being touted as a 12/1 shot alongside Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, while a move to Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus are priced at 16/1 apiece.

With a price-tag of £120million attached to him, Sancho certainly attracts a hefty fee although in fairness he has a healthy number of years left in his career and as such, an investment in the player could heap hefty rewards.

Indeed while live football remains completely absent right now, there is a lot of interest in the transfer market and it is looking increasingly likely that Sancho could be on his way to Old Trafford, something which certainly won’t sit well with Man City fans given that he was brought through their youth academy.
